NATCHEZ — Services for Billie Jean Havard, 81, of Natchez, our loving wife, mother, grandmother and great-grandmother, who was called home to be with her Lord and Savior, Monday, June 3, 2013, will be at 2 p.m. Wednesday at Laird Funeral Home Chapel with Dr. Roy Tidwell and Dr. Ralph Webber officiating.

Burial will follow at Greenlawn Memorial Park Cemetery under the direction of Laird Funeral Home.

Visitation will be from noon until service time Wednesday at the funeral home.

Mrs. Havard was born Jan. 4, 1932.

She was preceded in death by her mother and stepfather, Johnnie and Walter Clark; one brother, Julius Rollinson; one sister, Rita Clark Taylor; three brothers-in-law, Carol James Havard, Walter Lee Havard and Stanford Havard; and two sisters-in-law, Josie Seal and Doris Havard.

Survivors include her husband of 63 years, Edward G. Havard; one daughter, Jeannine Brooks and husband, Craig, of Haughton, La.; one son, Edward Havard Jr. and wife, Robyn, of Starkville; three grandsons, Adam Craig Brooks and wife, Angela, of Dallas, Derek And Weston Havard, both of Starkville; two great-grandsons, Conner and Cole Turner of Haughton; one step-great-granddaughter, Jessica Turner of Fort Worth, Texas; one sister, Betty Caston and husband, Bobby, of Baton Rouge; sisters-in-law and special friends, Lorraine Havard and Camille McKinney; one brother-in-law, Otis Dean Havard and wife, Martha; and a number of nieces, nephews, family and friends.

Honoring Billie Jean as pallbearers will be Adam Brooks, Craig Brooks, Derek Havard, Weston Havard, Jason Turner and Johnny Hoggatt.

Honorary pallbearers will be Conner Turner, Cole Turner, Walter Havard Jr. and Joe Havard.

The family wishes to extend a special thanks to Dr. Barry Tillman and staff at Promise Hospital and Dr. Jack Rodriguez and staff for their love and professional care given, particularly those with whom she developed a special relationship.
