NATCHEZ — Services for John Lee Jackson, 64, of New Orleans, formerly of Jefferson County, who died Wednesday, June 12, 2013, from injuries sustained in an auto accident, will be at noon Saturday at Mercy Seat Baptist Church with the Rev. Percy Turner officiating.

Burial will follow at the church cemetery under the direction of Robert D. Mackel and Sons Funeral Home.

Visitation will be from 3 to 6:30 p.m. today at the funeral home and from 11 a.m. until service time Saturday at the church.

Mr. Jackson was born Dec. 28, 1948, in Jefferson County, the son of Joseph Jackson Sr. and Bessie Mae Richardson Jackson. He was a diesel mechanic.

Mr. Jackson was Baptist.

He was preceded in death by his parents.

Survivors include his wife, Ilene Johnson Jackson of Dallas; six children, Jonathan Jackson, Keenon Jackson, Jowan J. Jackson, Carlton Jackson, Marcus Jackson, all of New Orleans, and Tammy Jackson, of Chicago; seven brothers; four sisters; and a number of grandchildren, other relatives and friends.
