FERRIDAY — Services for Leta Kendrick, 86, of Vidalia, formerly of Wisner, La., who died Friday, July 5, 2013, at her residence, were 3 p.m Saturday at Young’s Funeral Home in Ferriday with the Rev. Tim Mahoney officiating.

Burial followed at South Central Baptist Church Cemetery under the direction of Young’s Funeral Home.

Mrs. Kendrick was a member of the Vidalia Assembly of God Church and was devoted to her family.

She was preceded in death by her parents, John and Mary Jane Mahoney; her husband, Warner Kendrick; one daughter, Iris Simms; one brother, T.J. Mahoney; and three sisters, Velma Daniels, Helen Cowart and Retha Wesberry.

Survivors include four daughters, Elaine Vandevelde and Carla Cheek, both of Vidalia, Margie Kendrick of Shreveport, La., and Serresa James of West Monroe, La.; 11 grandchildren; a number of great-great-grandchildren; and one great-great-great-grandson.

Pallbearers were Dalvis Dees, William Cheek, Moise Tarver, Charles Kimbrough, Josh Powell and Matt Gordon.
