HOUSTON — Services for Lewellyn Lillian “Lucy” Gerosa Flaherty, 61, of Houston, died Tuesday, Aug. 6, 2013, at her home, will be at 10 a.m. Saturday at Houston Funeral Home with the Rev. Darrell Sanderson officiating.

Burial will follow at Wesley Chapel United Methodist Church Cemetery in Houston under the direction of Houston Funeral Home.

Visitation will be from 5 to 7 p.m. Friday at the funeral home.

Mrs. Flaherty was born April 19, 1952, in New Orleans, the daughter of Louis Gerosa and Estel Benton Gerosa.

She was a scale operator at Prairie Bluff Landfill in Houston and a member of Wesley Chapel United Methodist Church.

Survivors include her husband, Curtis Flaherty; three daughters, Penny Allred of Vero Beach, Fla., Sherry Jamison and husband, Larry, of Natchez and Shelia King and husband, Sam, of Boise, Idaho; five sons, James Edward Floyd III of Lake Charles, La., Casey Floyd of Morgan City, La., Wesley Flaherty and wife, Paula, of Boise, Brian Flaherty and wife, Vickie, of Belmont and Shelby Flaherty and wife, Fawn, of Siro, Okla.; two brothers, Larry Gerosa of New Brunsville, Texas and Roy Pomez of New Orleans; 13 grandchildren; and seven great-grandchildren.
