NATCHEZ — When business climates are changing, businesspeople need to be aware of what they need to do to meet those changes head on.
Next week, the Natchez-Adams County Chamber of Commerce will host Moore Hallmark — the executive director of the U.S. Chamber of Commerce’s congressional and public affairs division for the southeast region — to discuss issues of regional and national issues of importance to businesses.
Hallmark will be speaking at the Carriage House Restaurant from 11:30 a.m. to 1 p.m. Tuesday for the chamber’s quarterly luncheon.
Natchez Chamber President Debbie Hudson said all local businesspeople and government officials will have an interest in hearing Hallmark’s presentation, which will be targeted to regional needs and interests.
The speaker will also inform those present about possible new laws or regulations that can affect businesses, Hudson said.
“This (presentation) helps us identify what is important, and a lot of people may hear this and think to themselves, ‘This is politics, and I don’t need to know about this,’ but we do need to know so that if there is something we need to do something about, we will be informed about it,” Hudson said.
Those who want to attend should contact the chamber to RSVP at (601) 445-4611.
Admission is $15 at the door.
