Mr. Kenneth Ray “Elrod” Watson

VIDALIA — Funeral services for Mr. Kenneth Ray “Elrod” Watson, 70, of Vidalia, who died Wednesday, Aug. 21, 2013 at his residence, will be noon Monday at First Baptist Church of Vidalia.
Burial will follow at the Natchez National Cemetery under the direction of Marshall Funeral Home.
Visitation will be 10 a.m. until time of services Monday at the church.
Mr. Watson was born Oct. 5, 1942 in Natchez, the son of James W. and Edna Jones Watson. He was preceded in death by his parents, one son, Terry Watson; two sisters, Sherry McGraw and Melba Vines, and one brother, Roger Watson.
Survivors include his wife, Kay Watson; one daughter, Kimberly Eames and husband, Russell; one son, Michael Watson; two step-daughters, Charlene Jeanise and Karen Rae Coldiron; two sisters, Carrie Jernigan and Claudine “Alice” Walker; one brother, Charles Watson; eight grandchildren, Raymond and Kristena Eames, Jolie Gayle and Cole Jeanise, and Breanna, Heather, Hayden and Dylan Watson; three great-grandchildren, Mykhail, Aniya and Dayton, and a number of other relatives and friends.
Pallbearers will be Jason Jernigan, David Parker, Mike Freeman, Chris Thames, Dean Coldiron and Sultan Cousin.
