FERRIDAY — The Concordia Parish Sheriff’s Office will host a situation awareness class at 6 p.m. today.
The class will consist of presentations and video on how to protect yourself by being aware of your surroundings while at home, in a vehicle and while shopping.
“If we are more alert in our everyday life, we can possibly avoid putting ourselves in harm’s way,” program coordinator Randy Lipscomb said.
Sheriff Kenneth Hedrick said he encourages all parish residents to participate in the class.
“We will continue to provide classes for public involvement in our ongoing efforts to keep our parish safe,” Hedrick said.
The class will be at the Concordia Parish Community Center, which is located at 26356 Louisiana 15 in Ferriday.
Refreshments will be served.
