NATCHEZ — Services for Alene Smith, 91, of Natchez, who died Monday, Aug. 26, 2013, at her residence, will be at 11 a.m. Saturday at Zion Hill Baptist Church No. 1 with the Rev. Joe W. Pickett officiating.

Burial will follow at Sunset New Memorial Park Cemetery under the direction of Marshall Funeral Home.

Visitation will be from 7 to 8 p.m. today at the Natchez chapel and from 9 a.m. until service time Saturday at the church.

Mrs. Smith was born Feb. 12, 1922, in Wilkinson County, the daughter of Douglas and Stella Hayes McFarland.

She was preceded in death by her parents; her husband, John Smith Sr.; and two grandchildren, Anthony Green and Randy Anderson.

Survivors include 13 children, Audrey Rideaux, John Smith Jr., Maggie Miller, Janie Washington, Joyce Brengettsy, Ethel Green, Georgetta Sanders, Stella Edwards, Leroy Smith, Theresa Howland, Robert Smith, Selvin Smith and Pamela Smith; three sisters, Estelle Harris, Francis Palmer and Dora Anderson; and a number of grandchildren, nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends.
