NATCHEZ — Memorial services celebrating the life of James Reece “Jimmy” Jones Jr., 72, who died Wednesday, Aug. 28, 2013, at Natchez Community Hospital, will be at 11 a.m. Saturday at Grace United Methodist Church with the Rev. Nance Hixon officiating.

Visitation will be from 10 a.m. until service time Saturday at the church.

Arrangements are under the direction of Laird Funeral Home.

Mr. Jones was born April 19, 1941, the son of James R. Jones Sr. and Clarice Eatman Jones.

Before retirement, Mr. Jones was longtime employee of Natchez Regional Medical Center. He was also a member of Grace United Methodist Church.

Mr. Jones was a loving husband, father, grandfather and brother that will be deeply missed by those that knew and loved him.

He was preceded in death by his parents and a beloved sister, Sandra Jones Fulmer.

Survivors include his wife of 46 years, Joan Hynum Jones; one daughter, Jennifer Louanne Jones; one son, James R. “Trae” Jones III; four grandchildren, Cole Alexander Radzewicz, Lana Reece Jones, Madison Burgess and Brock Burgess; one sister, Pamela Jones Sandel; and a number of loving relatives, special friends and grand “dog,” Ozzy.

Memorials may be made to the American Cancer Society or Grace United Methodist Church.
