VIDALIA — A Vidalia man was arrested Friday on charges he stole more than $700 in copper wire from a Vidalia residence.

Michael Goodwin, 43, 809 Gregory St., was arrested on charges of felony theft and possession of stolen property.

A Vidalia Police Department spokesman said several other items were reported stolen from the residence, as well.

The investigation is ongoing, and anyone with information about the matter is asked to contact the Vidalia Police Department at 318-336-5254.
