NATCHEZ — Funeral services for Iona “Two Bits” G. Hickombottom, 79, of Natchez, who died Sunday, Oct. 20, 2013, at Natchez Regional Medical Center, will be 11 a.m. Monday at Jesus Christ of Latter Day Saints with Timothy Blacock Jr. officiating.
Burial will follow at LaGrange Baptist Church Cemetery under the direction of Robert D. Mackel and Sons Funeral Home.
Visitation will be from 3 to 6 p.m. Sunday at the funeral home and from 10 a.m. until service time Monday at the church.
Mrs. Hickombottom was born in Adams County, on Dec. 2, 1933, the daughter of Foster Gordon Sr. and Annie Jane Alexander Stewart.
She was a retired cafeteria manager of Holy Family Catholic School and a member of Jesus Christ of Latter Day Saints for many years.
Mrs. Hickombottom was preceded in death by her parents; husband, Albert Bernard Hickombottom; grandson, Erick Jackson; two sisters, Mary Lee G. Jackson and Evelyn Harris; one brother, Bob Gordon and stepfather, Charles Stewart.
Survivors include six daughters, Leona White and husband, Walter Jr., Annie J. Washington and husband, Jerry Sr., Christina Logan and husband, Dornell, Dessie Stewart and husband, Larry, all of Natchez, Gwendolyn Thomas and husband, Esco, of Oklahoma City, Okla., and Albertina Donaldson of Richton Park, Ill.; 14 grandchildren, 21 great-
grandchildren; siblings, Peggy Mayberry, Carolyn Gordon, Helen Gordon, Jackie Blackwell, Elaine Gordon, Don Gordon, Wilbert Gordon and Dwayne Blackwell of both Minn. and Natchez; and a very special niece, Margaret Jackson, of Natchez.
