CLAYTON — Funeral services for Alberta Orr, 74, of Clayton, who died Tuesday, Nov. 12, 2013, will be at 11 a.m. Saturday at Young’s Funeral Home in Ferriday with the Rev. Jerry Sharp officiating.

Burial will follow at the Oakgrove Cemetery in Winnsboro under the direction of Young’s Funeral Home.

Visitation will be from 5 to 8 p.m. today at the funeral home.

Ms. Orr ran a daycare for over 20 years in Ferriday. She was known as granny to all. She greatly enjoyed her family and her flowers. She will be remembered for her flowers.

She was preceded in death by her husband, Johnnie Orr and her parents Albert and Mildred Johns.

Survivors include her son, Johnnie A. Orr and wife, Grace, of Clayton, Billy Orr and wife, Stacy, of Tunica, La.; daughter, Jennifer Mize and husband, Richie, of Valdosta, Ga,; seven grandchildren, Craig Orr, Enoch Orr and wife, Anna Laura, Paul Orr, Cody Orr, Victoria Whatley and husband, David, Elizabeth Orr and Annabelle Mize; eight great-grandchildren; three sisters, Gloria Jane Lively, of Baskin, Joan Ferrington, of Pineville and Beverely Miller of Picayune; three brothers, Douglas Johns and wife, Paula, of Pineville, Wayne Johns and wife, Ruta, of Eros, La. and Steve Johns of Pineville; and a number of nieces, nephews, and many friends.

Pallbearers will be David Johns, David White, Clay Ferrington, Richard Lively, Joey Bazile and Berry Sharp.

Honoray pallbearers will be David Whatley, Richie Mize and Bradley Johns.

In lieu of flowers, the family requests donations be made to the American Cancer Society or the charity of your choice.
