NATCHEZ — Rock and Roll royalty is in town.

Mick Jagger of Rolling Stones fame is an executive producer for the James Brown biopic, “Get on Up,” which started filming in Natchez this month, and he was seen around town Thursday.

Adams County District 1 Supervisor Mike Lazarus is an extra in a scene that was shot Thursday, and he said Jagger was on the set.

Even though he said he’s a Rolling Stones fan, Lazarus said he kept a respectful distance on the set.

“We walked out of the building together at one point, but I didn’t speak to him,” he said. “It was kind of interesting to see him eating lunch at the same table as Octavia Spencer two tables down from me.”
