VIDALIA — Funeral services for Samuel “Babe Brother” Jenkins III, 68, of Vidalia, who died Tuesday, at Natchez Regional Medical Center, will be at 11 a.m. Monday at St. Stephen Baptist Church in Vidalia, with the Rev. Ernest Ford officiating.

Burial will follow in Vidalia City Cemetery under the direction of Marshall Funeral Home.

Visitation will be from 9 a.m. until service time Monday at the funeral home.

Jenkins was born Aug. 11, 1945, in Taconey, the son of Samuel “Son” Jenkins Jr. and Rosie Smith Lee.

He was preceded in death by his parents; and one sister, Luvenia Foley.

Survivors include his wife, Deloris Jenkins; four stepchildren, Jamine, Kizzy, Karvin and James Dotson; one sister, Corine Thomas, of Marrero; two nieces, Doris T. Polk and Ida Jenkins Green, both of Marerro; three nephews, Raymond and wife, Mary, Melvin, and Ricky Foley, all of Marrero; one aunt, Ruby Davis; one sister-in-law, Ruth Dotson; two nieces-in-law, Tommie and Sandra Dotson; three nephews-in-law, Gregory, Leonard and Willie Turner; one godchild, Nicole Brown; one special friend, Silvia Carter; and a number of other relatives and friends.
