NATCHEZ — Services for Roy Waycaster, 86, of Natchez, who died Sunday, Jan. 26, 2014, at his residence, will be at 11 a.m. Wednesday at Laird Funeral Home Chapel with the Rev. Don Tate officiating.
Burial will follow in Greenlawn Memorial Park Cemetery under the direction of Laird Funeral Home.
Visitation will be from 10 a.m. until service time Wednesday at the funeral home.
Mr. Waycaster was born Oct. 6, 1927, in Vance, the son of Leroy Waycaster and Bonnie Grissom Waycaster.
He was a member of the Vidalia Church of Christ. He retired from Armstrong Tire and Rubber Company of Natchez, as a foreman/tire builder with more than 30 years of service.
Mr. Waycaster was preceded in death by his parents; wife, Sarah Ashley Waycaster; and his brothers and sisters.
Survivors include three brothers, James Waycaster of Natchez, Charles Waycaster of Clinton, Ky., and Frank Waycaster of Pope; one sister, Sue Bailey of Oxford; and a number of nephews and nieces.
Honorary pallbearers will be Jimmy Fuqua, Chuck Fuqua, Carl Fuqua, James Heckard, Mike Hazlip, Robert Fair, Gary Smith, Buddy Wade and Byron Boyette.
