FERRIDAY — Services for Bettie Lee Green, 70, of Ferriday, who died Sunday, Feb. 2, 2014, at Riverland Medical Center, will be at 10 a.m. Friday at Mercy Seat Baptist Church, with the Rev. Justin Conner officiating.

Burial will follow in Natchez National Cemetery under the direction of Concordia Funeral Home.

Visitation will be from 5 to 7 p.m. today at the funeral home.

Mrs. Green was born June 28, 1943, in Wisner, the daughter of Thomas Duncan and Alzenia Cooper King.

Mrs. Green was preceded in death by one son, Earl Washington; her father; and one brother, Richard Cooper.

Survivors include her husband, Jerry Green; her mother; one son Nathaniel Duncan and wife, Hattie, three daughters, Patricia Green, of Ferriday, Mary Hawkins and husband, William, of Killeen, Flora Green, of Alexandria; one brother, Tommie Cooper and wife, Linda, of Rialto, Calif.; four sisters, Juanita Nellon, of Ferriday, Marilyn Williams and husband, Riley, of Clayton, Almedia Brooks, of Rialto, Calif. and Catherine Anderson, of Bakersfields, Calif.; nine grandchildren; 14 great-grandchildren; and a special friend, Sevier “Peppie” Harris, of Ferriday.
