Eleanor H. Twiner

YAZOO CITY — Graveside services for Eleanor H. Twiner, who died Sunday, Feb. 16, 2014, will be at 11 a.m. today at Glenwood Cemetery.

Burial will be under the direction of Stricklin-King Funeral Home.

Mrs. Twiner was the daughter of J.E. and Vesta Hickman.

She was very active in many civic, political and social organizations both at the local and state levels in Louisiana. She loved to travel and accompanied her family on many vacations.

Mrs. Twiner was preceded in death by her parents; her husband, Douglas Twiner; two grandsons, Doug and Chris Twiner; and one granddaughter, Taylor Fisher.

Survivors include one son, Larry Twiner and wife, Jeanie, of Metairie, La.; one daughter, Patricia Fisher of Manfield, Texas; one grandson, Louie Fisher and wife, Piper; one granddaughter, Ashley Mohler and husband, Mike; one great-grandson, Jake Twiner; five great-granddaughters, Melissa Mohler, Melanie Mohler, Morgan Fisher, Sydney Twiner and Emily Twiner, one sister, Ruby N. Fleming of Pennsylvania; and a number of nephews, nieces and cousins.

In lieu of flowers, the family is requesting memorials be made to Taylor Fisher Memorial Scholarship Fund, Ouachita Parish High School, Highway 594, Monroe, LA 71203.
