D.A.R.E. graduations slated for next week

VIDALIA — The Concordia Parish Sheriff’s Office will host several graduation ceremonies for students who successfully completed the D.A.R.E. program.
The Drug Abuse Resistance Education is a police officer-led series of classroom lessons that teaches students how to resist peer pressure and live drug, alcohol and violence free lives.
The sheriff’s office enlists several deputies to participate at the various elementary schools in the parish.
The ceremonies will take place at each school on the following days and times:
• 10 a.m. Monday at Monterey School
• 1 p.m. Monday at Concordia Parish Academy of Math, Science and Technology
• 1 p.m. Feb. 25 at Ferriday Upper Elementary
• 10 a.m. Feb. 26 at Delta Charter School
• 1 p.m. Feb. 27 at Vidalia Upper Elementary
