FERRIDAY — Services for Raymond H. Ruble, 70, of Waterproof, who died Friday, Feb. 28, 2014, at Riverland Medical Center in Ferriday, will be at 3 p.m. Sunday at St. Patrick’s Catholic Church in Ferriday with the Rev. Louis Sklar officiating.

Burial will follow in Monclova Cemetery in Waterproof under the direction of Comer Funeral Home.

Visitation will be from 5 to 8 p.m. today at the funeral home with a Rosary Wake Service at 7 p.m.

Mr. Ruble was born April 7, 1943, the son of Raymond Ray and Illa M. Province Ruble.

Mr. Ruble worked most of his life in the oil field and was a consultant in the oil field industry.

He was a member of St. Patrick’s Catholic Church and loved the outdoors.

He was a loving husband, loved his children and grandchildren and he will be missed by all that knew him.

Mr. Ruble was preceded in death by his parents; and one brother, Rollin Ruble.

Survivors include his loving wife, Sandra Ruble; four daughters, Angela Theriot, of Houma; Deborah Theriot, of Waterproof; Irene Tivet, of West Monroe; and Rachel Tivet Rushing and husband, Cody, of St. Joseph; six grandchildren, Jessi, Jonathan, Gregory, Dylan, Lily, Zowie and Mina; one brother, Paul Ruble and wife, Lee, of Arkansas; one sister, Mary Lou Harra and husband, Mike, of Watertown, Ohio; and a number of nieces, nephews and friends.
