Mrs. Betty Squalls, Veronica Squalls, and Jasmine Williams of Natchez and Marcus Williams of Houston announce the engagement of their daughter and mother, Angela G. Squalls-Williams to Rickey C. McGruder Sr., son of Myles McGruder and the late Jesse McGruder of Natchez. The bride-to-be is also the daughter of the late Walter James Squalls Jr.

The bride-to-be is a graduate of North Natchez High School and also a graduate of the Culinary Arts School of Mississippi.

She is the granddaughter of Mr. and Mrs. Walter Sr. and Laura Squalls of Natchez and Mr. and Mrs. Sylvester and Ola Mae Byrd of Natchez.

The groom-to-be is a graduate of North Natchez High School.

He is employed by Natchez-Adams School District.

He is the grandson of the late Gene McGruder and Maude Clark of Natchez and the late Mr. and Mrs. Louis and Mamie Wright of Natchez.

The wedding will be at 3 p.m., March 22, 2014, at the Broadmoor Community Center in Natchez.

A reception will follow.
