MADISON — Services for Mettie Louise Miller Whitlock, 85, of Madison, who died Monday, March 10, 2014, at her residence, will be at 11 a.m. Thursday at Madison United Methodist Church.
Burial will follow in Jessamine Cemetery in Ridgeland under the direction of Natchez Trace Funeral Home.
Visitation will be from 5 to 8 p.m. today at the funeral home and from 9 a.m. until service time Thursday at the church.
Mrs. Whitlock was a native of Georgia and a 40-year resident of Madison County.
She was married to the Rev. Clifton C. Whitlock and worked for The Home Place for 40 years.
She was a member of Madison United Methodist Church, the Eastern Star and United Methodist Women.
Survivors include two sons, Jeffery Whitlock and wife, Tiffany, of Gallman and F. Scott Whitlock Sr. and wife, Patty, of Bay St. Louis; nine granchildren, Christopher C. Whitlock and wife, Haley, Brandon C. Whitlock, Desarie Hargill, F. Scott Whitlock Jr., Kelsey L. Watkins, Colton H. Whitlock, Peyton C. Murphy, Landon C. Murphy and Brayden T.D. Whitlock; one great granddaughter, Lilly Robinson; and extended family, residents and staff of The Bond Home.
In lieu of flowers, memorials in her name may be made to The Home Place, P.O. Drawer 720, Madison MS 39130.
