NATCHEZ — Services for William E. “Billy” O’Malley Jr., 62, of Natchez, who died Wednesday, March 19, 2014, at University Medical Center in Jackson, will be at 2 p.m. today at Laird Funeral Home Chapel with the Rev. Matt Powell officiating.
Burial will follow in Greenlawn Memorial Park Cemetery under the direction of Laird Funeral Home.
Visitation will be from 1 p.m. until service time today at the funeral home.
Mr. O’Malley was born Feb. 20, 1952, in Natchez, the son of William Edward O’Malley Sr. and June Joan Cotten O’Malley.
He was a loving father, husband and brother. He loved music, good food and sports, especially tennis.
He was a member of the United States Army tennis team while stationed in Germany.
He loved to laugh and have a good time with family and friends. He will be missed.
Survivors include his wife, Brenda O’Malley; his daughter, Marron Hope O’Malley Smith and husband, Nathan, of Brandon; one sister, Kelley Bradley and husband, Tim, of Natchez; and a number of nephews and nieces.
Pallbearers will be Tim Bradley, Nathan Smith, Lane White, Sam Robertson, Shea Pevey and Roger McCranie.
The family would like to thank his special care givers, LaVonda Bates and Lisa Smith.
