DERRIDER, La. — Services for Robert “Bobby/Mr. Bob” Eugene Luttrell, 88, of  Bundick Lake-Dry Creek, Deridder, La., who died Friday, May 2, 2014, with  his loving daughter-in-law at his bedside, will be at 10 a.m. Tuesday at  Dry Creek Baptist Church with the Rev. Charlie Bailey and the Rev. John Grey officiating

Visitation will be from 5-8 p.m. Monday at the church under the direction of Hixson Funeral Home.

Graveside services will follow at 11 a.m. Wednesday in the Natchez City Cemetery with the Rev. Charlie Bailey and the Rev. John Grey officiating under the direction of Laird Funeral Home.

Visitation will be from 10 a.m. until service time Wednesday at Laird’s Funeral Home.

Mr. Luttrell, beloved husband, father, grandfather, son and brother, was born on Aug. 10, 1925,  in Natchitoches, La., the son of Robert M. Luttrell and Rita Yawn Luttrell.

He served his country in the U.S. Army during the World War II era. He was also a life member of the Scottish Rite Masonic Fraternity, and a past member of the El Mina Shriners in Galveston, Texas. Mr. Luttrell retired from S & B Engineers and Constructors as a senior inspector, quality control. For the past 10 years, Luttrell resided at Bundick Lake-Dry Creek, Deridder, La., where he was very involved with the Dry Creek Baptist Church.

Mr. Luttrellwas preceded in death by his parents;  wife of 53 years, Hazel Whitehead Luttrell; son, Robert Eugene Luttrell Jr.; brother-in-law, J.R. “Lightning” Moore; brother-in-law, Harry Hall; sister-in-law, Neila Hall; and brother-in-law, G.W. Whitehead III.

Survivors include his son Keith Luttrell and daughter-in-law Donna Luttrell of League City, Texas; granddaughter, Kallie Luttrell of League City, Texas; sisters, Melba Moore of Beaumont, Texas, and Shirley Davis and Johnny of Hattiesburg; sister-in-law, Kathleen Savoy Whitehead of Vidalia; and numerous nieces and nephews.
