NATCHEZ — A Natchez man was sentenced Monday to 20 years in prison for sexual battery on a teen.
Circuit Court Judge Lillie Blackmon Sanders sentenced James Keith Nations, 48, 42 Linden Drive, to 20 years in prison with the last five years suspended and five years post-release supervision.
Nations pleaded guilty in September to two counts of sexual battery.
He was originally indicted on four counts of sexual battery in January 2013 for incidents that were alleged to have happened between April 2007 and April 2009.
All four counts involved the same victim, who the indictment said was “under the age of 14” to “at least 14 years but under 16 years.”
Nations pleaded guilty to two counts the indictment said happened in December 2008.
In addition to the prison time, Sanders ordered Nations to pay court costs and a prosecution fee of $622.50.
