Mr. Paul Hammett of Ferriday and Ms. Penny Hammett of Vidalia announce the engagement of their daughter, Ashlee Renae Hammett to Kelly Price Rouse, son of Ms. Nancy Rouse and the late Mr. Gary Rouse of Allen, Texas.

The bride-to-be is a graduate of Huntington High School in Ferriday and is a graduate of Louisiana Tech University in Ruston, La.

She is employed by Montgomery Coscia Greilich, LLP in Plano, Texas as a senior associate.

She is the granddaughter of Mrs. Marie Hammett and the late Mr. Claude Ray Hammett of Ferriday, Mr. and Mrs. James Weathers of Meridian and Mrs. Beverly Burnett and the late Mr. Lyle Burnett of Arlington, Texas.

The groom-to-be is a graduate of Allen High School, a graduate of the University of Texas in Dallas, and is attending the University of North Texas in Denton, Texas, pursuing a master’s degree in public administration.

He is employed by Lewisville Water Treatment Facility as a chief operator.

He is the grandson of the late Mr. and Mrs. Harold Rouse of Lubbock, Texas and Ms. Marie Price and the late Mr. Barry Price of Houston, Texas.

The wedding will be at 6:30 p.m., Saturday, June 7, 2014, at Stanton Hall in Natchez.

A reception will follow.

Formal invitations will be sent to out of town guests only.
