RIDGECREST — Residents on the Town of Ridgecrest water system were put on a boil water advisory this week until further notice.

All residents are asked to boil any water before drinking or using in cooking.

Town officials said the water pump went down Sunday morning and all residents were advised of the notice.

Samples are being sent of the state’s health department and must be approved before the advisory can be lifted.
