NATCHEZ — Services for Ethel Green Lucas, 87, of Sacramento, Calif., formerly of Vidalia, who died Monday, May 26, 2014, at Kaiser Permante Hospital in Sacramento, will be at 11 a.m. Friday at Fourth Street Church of Christ in Natchez with the Rev. Dwight Green officiating.

Burial will follow in Natchez National Cemetery under the direction of Concordia Funeral Home.

Mrs. Lucas was born March 30, 1927, in Vidalia, the daughter of Jimmie and Susie Green.

She was a former teacher at Dunbarton School in Dunbarton, La., former head start director in Henderson, Nev., and Sunday school teacher at Fourth Street Church of Christ.

Mrs. Lucas was preceded in death by her husband, Robert Lucas Jr.; her parents; three sons, James, Robert and Ernest Lucas; one daughter, Lois Lucas; two brothers, Arthur and Leon Green; and two sisters, Rosemary G. Singleton and Ernestine Green.

Survivors include six sons, Makini Enakaya, Alvin Lucas, Carl Lucas, Don Lucas, Darrell Lucas and Wilbert Lucas; two daughters, Tanya G. Anderson and Rita Lucas; four brothers, Wendell Greene Sr., Wilbert Greene, Jimmie Green and Clifford Green; three sisters, Hazel Loman, Doretha Woodfork and Joyce Chocklet; 11 grandchildren, 17 great-grandchildren; and a number of nephews, nieces and cousins.
