FERRIDAY — Services for Dorothy Mae Jefferson, 81, of Ferriday, who died Thursday, May 29, 2014, at her residence, will be at noon Saturday at St. James Baptist Church in Frogmore.

Burial will follow in the church cemetery under the direction of Concordia Funeral Home.

Visitation will be from 5 to 7 p.m. today at the funeral home.

Ms. Jefferson was born, Jan. 31, 1933, in Frogmore, the daughter of Ike Jr. and Lubertha Watkins Jefferson.

Ms. Jefferson was preceded in death by her parents; three sisters, Lubertha Jefferson Brooks, Margaret Jefferson Carter and Estell Jefferson Collins.

Survivors include two daughters, Patricia Jefferson Clark and Linda Jefferson and companion, Elijah Cotton, all of Ferriday; five grandchildren; 13 great-grandchildren; and her companion Wilbert L. Jones of Ferriday.
