VIDALIA — Day one of the 2014 Louisiana Dixie Youth 7-8 Machine Pitch Sub-district Tournament at the Concordia Parish Recreation District 3 Complex was postponed due to unplayable field conditions due to the recent heavy rain.

Concordia coach Jarod Gregg said the games that were scheduled to take place Saturday afternoon will now take place today, but at different times. Concordia will take on Winnsboro A at 2 p.m. and the Caldwell Nationals at 5 p.m.

Concordia Parish Dixie Youth president Mike Bowlin said that because of church services, all of Sunday’s games will start two hours later than they were scheduled for on Saturday.

Which means the Catahoula/South Franklin game will start at 3:30 p.m., the Winnsboro A/South Franklin game will get under way at 6:30 p.m., and the Catahoula/Caldwell Nationals game will get going at 8 p.m.

All of Monday’s and Tuesday’s games in the sub-district tournament will still take place as scheduled.
