JONESVILLE — Services for Roger Book, 69, of Jonesville, who died Sunday, Sept. 14, 2014, at Promise Hospital of Miss Lou, will be at 10 a.m. Wednesday at Jonesville First Baptist Church with the Rev. Lloyd Trisler and the Rev. Don Hawkins officiating.

Burial will follow at Heard Cemetery in Manifest, La., under the direction of Young’s Funeral Home in Jonesville.

Visitation will be from 5 to 8 p.m. today at the funeral home.

Mr. Book was born July 19, 1945, in Ferriday, the son of Ellis B. Book and Mattie Nichols Book. He was a member of Larto Baptist Church.

Mr. Book was preceded in death by his parents and one sister, Willa Dean Book.

Survivors include his wife of 46 years, Pat Book; one brother, Harold M. Book Sr. and wife, Margaret, of Larto; two brothers-in-law, Don Hawkins and wife, Sonja, of Monroe, La., and J.C. Hawkins and wife, Darlene, of Ferriday; four nieces, Melonie Randall and husband, John David of Jena, La., Stephanie Hawkins of Monroe, Kim Hawkins and Tanya Hawkins, both of West Monroe; and a number of great-nieces and nephews.

Pallbearers will be Donnie Ater, Ed Ater, Butch Cavin, Pat McCaughey, Henry King and Chris Forman.

Honorary pallbearers will be Harold Book Jr., Gary Bush, Joseph Hawkins Jr., Steven Hawkins, Mark Rabalais, Scott Rabalais, Jacob Hawkins, Jim Lemonds and Robert Plumley.
