MEADVILLE — Graveside services for Elsie Pearl Emfinger, 79, of Meadville, who died Saturday, Oct. 25, 2014, at the Camelot Leisure Living Center in Ferriday, were 1:30 p.m. Monday at Midway Cemetery with the Rev. Millard Moak officiating.

Burial followed under the direction of Franklin Funeral Home.

Visitation was from noon until 1 p.m. Monday.

Mrs. Emfinger was born Aug. 18, 1935, in Copiah County, the daughter of G.B. and Iola Morse Newell. She was a member of New Hope Baptist Church in Meadville.

Mrs. Emfinger was retired from Natchez Regional Medical Center where she was employed as a nurse for 37 years. She was a loving wife, mother, grandmother and great-grandmother.

Mrs. Emfinger was preceded in death by her parents.

Survivors include her husband of 59 years, A.J. Emfinger; one son, Barry Emfinger and wife, Cheryl, of Vidalia; two daughters, Kathy Emfinger Prospere and husband, Robert, of Natchez and Debbie Emfinger Roberts and husband, Jack, of Fort Worth, Texas; two sisters, Rose Dixon and Linda Holmes and husband, Fred; four grandchildren; three great-grandchildren; and a number of nieces, nephews and friends.
