VIDALIA — Services for Helen M. Green, 88, of Vidalia, who died Friday, Jan. 2, 2015, in Houston, will be at 11 a.m. Monday at Zion Baptist Church in Vidalia with the Rev. Johnny Elery officiating.
Burial will follow at the Natchez National Cemetery with her husband, Bingham Green, under the direction of Robert D. Mackel and Sons Funeral Home.
Visitation will be from 9:30 a.m. until service time Monday at the church.
Mrs. Green was born Aug. 5, 1926, in Ferriday, the daughter of Joseph J. and Florence S. Myles.
She was a retired educator who taught for 32 years in the Concordia Parish school system.
Survivors include one son, Bingham Green Jr. and wife, Janet; one daughter, Helen M. Lewis and husband, Roy, all of Houston; five grandchildren, Bingham III of Lawndale, Calif., Reginald and Stephen Green and Heather Lewis, all of Houston, and Roy Jr. of Nashville, Tenn.; three great-grandsons, Darius, Christopher and Keshon Lewis, all of Nashville; one sister, Dorothy M. Wyatt of Santa Rosa, Calif.; and nieces, nephews and in-laws.
