NATCHEZ — Services for Andrew B. Myles, 55, of Duncanville, Texas, who died Friday, Jan. 9, 2015, in Duncanville, will be at 11 a.m. Saturday at Providence Baptist Church with the Rev. James Washington officiating.1:16 AndrewMyles obitpic

Burial will follow at the Payne Family Cemetery under the direction of West Gate Funeral Home.

Visitation will be from 5 to 6:30 p.m. today at the funeral home and from 10 a.m. until service time Saturday at the church.

Mr. Myles was born Feb. 11, 1959, in Natchez, the third of eight children born to Earnest Lee Myles Sr. and Leanna Payne Myles.

He was married to Rolonda Myles. Early in life, Andrew married Vicki Anderson Myles and from that union three children were born, Lakedra, Kimberly and Andrew Jr.

Andrew lived his life by giving, sharing, teaching, laughing, loving and touching the lives of a number of family, friends and co-workers. He was a very hardworking man, a loving husband, father, brother and devoted friend.

After graduating from high school, Andrew attended ATI Tech School, graduating with honors. He also attended Mercer University in Macon, Ga., and Northwood University in Cedar Hill, Texas.

Mr. Myles spent the majority of his life (36 years) working for Van Camp/Gatorade, now PepsiCo in Dallas, Atlanta, Prior, Okla., and Indianapolis, Ind., holding a number of positions (each with increasing responsibilities) finally retiring in 2012, as maintenance manager.

He was an all-around handyman. He enjoyed restoring and remodeling houses, working on cars, landscaping and anything electronic. If he wasn’t working, he was enjoying listening to music.

Mr. Myles was preceded in death by his loving mother.

Survivors include his father of Fayette; three children, Lakedra Smith and wife, Timyron, Kimberly Hicks and husband, Jeffrey, and Andrew Myles Jr. and wife, Whitney; seven grandchildren, Timya, Jaccob, Zariah, Teralyn, James, Jonathon and Zarion; two sisters, Diana P. Lee of Alexandria, La., and Sherry Cade and husband, Ernest, of Natchez; one half-sister, Nicole Williams and husband, Patrick, of Natchez; five brothers, Earnest Myles Sr. and wife, Denise, of Rowlett, Texas, Bobby Myles and wife, Natalie, of Palm Bay, Fla., James Myles of Cedar Hill, Texas, Ronnie Myles and wife, Chandra, of Grand Prairie, Texas and Willie Myles and wife, Vernetta, of Rowlett; two half-brothers, Byron Myles and Myron Myles, both of Fayette; and a number of nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends.
