NATCHEZ — Services for L.T. Good, 80, of Natchez, who died Thursday, Feb. 5, 2015, at her residence, will be at 11 a.m. Saturday at Hickory Block United Methodist Church in Union Church with the Rev. Johnny Irving officiating.02:13 LTGood obitpic

Burial will follow at the church cemetery under the direction of Robert D. Mackel and Sons Funeral Home.

Visitation will be from 5 to 7 p.m. today at the funeral home and from 10 a.m. until service time Saturday at the church.

Mrs. Good was born April 28, 1934, in Jefferson County, the daughter of Alfonso Winfield and Mary Fleming.

She was a devoted wife, mother, sister, cousin and friend.

Mrs. Good was employed as a private domestic worker for a number of years. She also accepted Christ at an early age and joined Hickory Block United Methodist Church where she was a faithful member of the mother board.

Mrs. Good was preceded in death by her parents; her husband, Edward Good; one sister; five brothers; one sister-in-law; two brothers-in-law; and one niece, Brenda K. Good.

Survivors include three devoted sons, Charles, Cleveland and Larry Good, all of Natchez; four dedicated daughters, Betty Gooden and husband, Lee, Bessie Gaines and husband, Wardell, Virginia Payne and husband, William, and Frances Bates, all of Natchez; 14 grandchildren; 24 great-grandchildren; two great-great-grandchildren; four sisters, Lillie V. Good, Hazel Lee, both of Natchez, Essie Johnson of New Orleans and Dorothy Clark of Flint, Mich.; six brothers, James Sanders, Marvin Johnson and Alex Fleming, all of Fayette, Johnny Fleming of Pineville, La., Alfonso Winfield Jr. of Georgia and George Winfield of Tucson, Ariz.; and a number of nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends.
