NATCHEZ — Services for Lawrence “Tat” Minor Jr., 64, who died Friday, Feb. 6, 2015, at Jefferson County Nursing Home, will be at 3 p.m. Sunday at New Beginnings Missionary Baptist Church with the Rev. Roderick Lewis officiating.

Burial will follow at the Mount Plain Baptist Church under the direction of Robert D. Mackel and Sons Funeral Home.

Visitation will be from 4 to 6 p.m. today at the funeral home.

Mr. Minor was born March 16, 1950, in Wilkinson County, the son of Lawrence and Susan Minor.

He attended Wilkinson County Schools.

Mr. Minor was preceded in death by his parents; three brothers, Amos, Andy and Nelson Minor; and two sisters, Dorothy White and Lillie Mae McDonald.

Survivors include one son, Marvin Minor Sr.; two daughters, Shemeke Duncan and husband, Drederick, and Jacqueline Washington; nine grandchildren; one great-grandchild; seven siblings, Odessa Minor and husband, Samuel, Dave Minor and wife, Mammie, Ike Minor and wife, Cora, Samuel, Prentiss Minor and wife, Andrea, and Roosevelt Dennis; and a number of nieces, nephews and beloved friends.
