Johnson of Natchez will celebrate their 67th wedding anniversary with a reception from 11 a.m. to 2 p.m., Saturday, Feb. 28 at Forest Aide Baptist Church.The couple has eight children, Johnathan Johnson, Doris Drake, Sandra Washington, Bonita Hamilton, Paulette Montgomery and Deitrich Beard, all of Natchez, Joyce Ellington of Atlanta and Elijah Johnson III of Houston. They have a number of grandchildren and great-grandchildren. The couple was married Feb. 28, 1948, at Carthage Point. Family and friends are invited. No formal invitations will be sent.
