MONTEREY — Services for Robert Bruce Green, 72, of Monterey, who died Monday, Feb. 23, 2015, at his residence, will be at 10 a.m. Thursday at Monterey First Baptist Church with the Rev. John Rushing, the Rev. Clyde Grammon and the Rev. Byron Gray officiating.
Burial will follow at the Bruce Green Cemetery in Lismore, La., under the direction of Young’s Funeral Home.
Visitation will be from 5 to 8 p.m. today at the church.
Mr. Green was born Sept. 3, 1942, in Ferriday, the son of Bruce and Jennie Mae Green.
He was a member of Monterey First Baptist Church.
Mr. Green was preceded in death by his parents.
Survivors include three daughters, Marilyn Green and husband, Lorne, Robbie Green Drummer and Dawn McKnight and husband, Ken, all of Monterey; the mother of his daughters, Helen Green of Monterey; seven grandchildren, Lucas Green, Max Green, Dillon Green, Ashley Ramsey, Joshua Drummer, Tyler Gray and Maggie Gray; three great-grandchildren, Emma Green, Eli Green and Jenna Ramsey; two brothers, Billy Green and Thomas Green; and a special friend, Sherri Gardner.
Pallbearers will be Lucas Green, Joshua Drummer, Tyler Gray, Tracy Brown, Josh Calkins and Richard Ramsey.
Honorary pallbearers will be Max Green, Dillon Green, Jimbo Graves, Jeff Britt, John Cowan, Justin Green and the members of the Monterey Volunteer Fire Department.
