DOLOROSO — Services for Dorothy Dennis, 55, of Woodville, who died Thursday, Feb. 19, 2015, at East Jefferson Hospital in Metairie, La., will be at 11 a.m. Saturday at Rose Hill Baptist Church in Doloroso with the Rev. Reginald Jackson officiating.

Burial will follow at the church cemetery under the direction of Concordia Funeral Home in Ferriday.

Visitation will be from 1 to 5 p.m. today at the funeral home.

Ms. Dennis was born July 1, 1959, in Natchez, the daughter of Mose Dennis Jr. and Edna Prater Dennis.

She was a homemaker and she was Baptist.

Ms. Dennis was preceded in by her parents.

Survivors include her daughters, Keyorka Dennis of Metairie, Krista Dennis of Kenner, La., and Lashonda Thomas and husband, Randy, of Centreville, who she raised as her own daughter; six brothers, Willie Dennis of Natchez, Larry Dennis and wife, Michelle, of Chesapeake, Va., Johnson Dennis, Mose Dennis, Ricky Jackson and wife, Sandra, and the Rev. Reginald Jackson, all of Woodville; three sisters, Jacqueline McKinsey and husband, Robert, Sandra Dennis, all of Baton Rouge and Ethel Dennis and husband, Ronnie, of Woodville; three grandchildren, Kadria Mattire, Bryan Preston Jr., both of Metairie, and Kedric Taylor of Kenner; goddaughter, Flotrica Dunbar of Philadelphia; lifelong friend, Dave Henyard of Woodville; and a number of nieces, nephews and friends.
