BATON ROUGE — Memorial services for William “Bill” Brandsford Greene Jr., 69, of Baton Rouge, who died Saturday, March 14, 2015, will be at 3 p.m. Thursday at St. Luke’s Episcopal Church in Baton Rouge.

Arrangements are under the direction of Resthaven Gardens of Memory and Funeral Home in Baton Rouge.

Visitation and a reception will be from 11 a.m. to 2 p.m. Thursday at the funeral home.

Mr. Greene was born Aug. 1, 1945, the son of Bill Greene Sr. and Ola Mae Greene.

Bill was a kind and loving husband, father, grandfather and friend. He will be greatly missed by all who loved him.

He was a proud graduate of the University of Mississippi and a member of Phi Delta Theta fraternity.

He was preceded in death by his parents.

Survivors include his loving wife of 47 years, Emily Greene; one daughter, Patricia Greene of New Orleans; one son, Will Greene and wife, Stephanie, of Louisville, Ky.; one grandchild, Owen William Greene and soon-to-be born, Emma Terese Greene; and best friends, Buddy and Janelle Elliott of Baton Rouge and Mike and Pinkie Foil of Jackson.

In lieu of flowers, donations may be made in Bill’s name to the local pet shelter at apawspets.org or to St. Jude Children’s Hospital at stjude.org.
