VIDALIA — Memorial services for Buran Elvin Colton, 63, of Vidalia, who died Saturday, April 4, 2015, at his residence, will be at 6 p.m. Thursday at Riverside Baptist Church in Vidalia with the Rev. Glen Harrigill officiating.

Arrangements are under the direction of Comer Funeral Home in Ferriday.

Mr. Colton was born July 26, 1951, in Ferriday, the son of James and Mary Elizabeth Marlette Colton.

He lived in Ferriday and Vidalia all of his life and worked in the oil industry as a mechanic.

He loved his children and grandchildren and will surely be missed by all who knew him.

Mr. Colton was preceded in death by his father.

Survivors include his mother; two children, Nicole Roum and husband, David, of Baton Rouge and Jeff Colton and wife, Desiree, of Alexandria, La.; five grandchildren, Hunter, Shawn, William, Bennett and Russ; two great-grandchildren; a special friend and companion, Sue Gillespie; a special nephew and niece, Tony Brocata and Mary “Tootie” Colton; one sister, Chyerl Roberson of Vidalia; and a number of nieces, nephews and friends.
