NATCHEZ — The Miss-Lou Relay for Life Invitational will scramble for a cure once again, this time at Duncan Park on April 25.

All of the proceeds generated from the tournament will go to the Miss-Lou Chapter of the Relay for Life, which will take place in Vidalia one week following the golf event.

This marks the second year Tee Cotton has organized the four-man scramble tournament, after becoming heavily involved with the American Cancer Society after his brother, Shane Seyfarth, died of colon cancer in December of 2013.

“The event went really well last year, and we ended up with right around 100 players,” Cotton said. “Expectations were exceeded last year, and we hope to exceed them again this year.”

Last year’s tournament raised $7,500, which was presented to the Miss-Lou Chapter of Relay for Life.

“That’s not too bad for our first year,” Cotton said.

Individuals may play in the one-day, 18-hole tournament for $100. Lunch will be served at noon, covered by the $100 participation fee, and the tournament will begin with a 1 p.m. shotgun tee time start.

The tournament is also accepting sponsors for tee boxes, which will cost $100 per tee box.

Those wanting to participate or sponsor a tee box may do so by contacting Cotton at 601-431-1143 or Jordan Farmer at 601-431-3716.

Registration will be open through April 25, and last-minute participants will have the opportunity to register the morning of.
