FERRIDAY — Services for Frances Maudena “Maude” Morace Ferguson, 87, of Vidalia, who died Monday, April 13, 2015, at Natchez Regional Medical Center, will be at 10 a.m. Thursday at Young’s Funeral Home Chapel in Ferriday with the Rev. Ron Ledford and David Dumas officiating.Ferguson obitpic

Burial will follow at the Lone Pine Cemetery in Monterey under the direction of Young’s Funeral Home.

Visitation will be at 5 to 8 p.m. today at the funeral home.

Mrs. Ferguson was born Jan. 28, 1928, in Natchez, the daughter of Leon Morace and Ida Young Morace.

She was a member of Calvary Baptist Church in Vidalia.

Mrs. Ferguson was preceded in death by her parents; her husband, Kenneth Ferguson; one son, Steven Lee Ferguson; four brothers, Barney Morace, Otis Morace, Leon Morace Jr., and Charlie Morace; and seven sisters, Edna Sewell, Loretta Prestridge, Margie Rankin, Paralee Cox, Elsie Merrill, Maxine Payton and Yvonne Patterson.

Survivors include one son, Jeff Ferguson and wife, Becky, of Vidalia; two daughters, Joyce Ward and husband, Phillip, of Conway, Ark., and Jo Ann Bumgarner of husband, Mike, of Vidalia; one brother, Doyle Morace of Vidalia; two brothers-in-law, Roy Payton of Natchez and Donald W. Ferguson and wife, Anita, of Bude; three sisters-in-law, Lovine Morace of Monterey, Jeri Sue Holmes of Pearl and Jan Ferguson of Maryland; five grandsons, Jeffrey Ferguson and wife, Stephanie, Michael Ferguson and wife, Wendy, Joel Greer, Adam Bumgarner and Daniel Bumgarner and wife, Erika; four granddaughters, Sondra Hernard and husband, Bryan, Stephanie Bowen and husband, Blain, Tish Parker and husband, David, and Erica Felter and husband, Joe; and 18 great-grandchildren.

She loved and was loved by a number of nieces and nephews.

Pallbearers will be grandsons, Jeffrey Ferguson, Michael Ferguson, Joel Greer, Avery Parker, Payton Parker and James Foster.
