Tricentennial specialty car tag ready for orders

NATCHEZ — Natchez residents and fans of the city can place their orders now for the 2016 Natchez Tricentennial Specialty Tag.

The Natchez Tricentennial Commission released its proposed tag design, and those who wish to order one have through May 6 to do so.

Tags can be purchased online or at the Natchez Visitor Reception Center, 640 S. Canal St.

Residents of any Mississippi county are eligible to purchase a Natchez Tricentennial tag.

The Special Tag Fee is $32. The Mississippi State Tax Commission must receive orders for 300 of the tags before it will begin production on a particular design.

If the appropriate number of orders and fees are received, the applicant will be notified by the organization responsible for the tag when the tag can be picked up at the Office of the Tax Collector in Adams County.
