NATCHEZ — Services for Josephine Proby “Little Mama” Woods, 78, of Natchez, who died Friday, May 1, 2015, at Natchez Community Hospital, will be at noon Friday at New Hope the Vision Center.

Burial will follow at the Sunset View Memorial Park Cemetery under the direction of Marshall Funeral Home.

Visitation will be at 10 a.m. until service time Friday at the church.

Mrs. Woods was born Aug. 13, 1936, in Natchez, the daughter of Joe and Celia Knight Proby.

She was a member of the Greater Mount Nebo Baptist Church.

Mrs. Woods was preceded in death by her parents; her husband, Robert Lee Woods Sr.; one son, Ronald Woods, one granddaughter, Maxine Woods; and two brothers, James Moore and Joseph Smith.

Survivors include one daughter, Dianne Wesley and husband, Willie; one son, Robert Lee Woods Jr.; one sister, Lillie B., Proby Hargrave, all of Natchez; two granddaughters, Flemeka Washington and husband, Craig, of Roxie and Erica Shontae Thompson of California; three godsons, Patrick Wesley, Willie Wesley Jr., both of Natchez, and Ronald Woods Jr. of Chicago; six great-grandchildren; seven great-great-grandchildren; and a number of nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends.
