NATCHEZ — Services for Leon Bland, 61, of Natchez, who died Sunday, May 10, 2015, at the Veterans Administration Medical Center in Jackson, will be at 11 a.m. Friday at West Gate Funeral Home in the George F. West Sr. Memorial Chapel.

Burial will follow at the Natchez National Cemetery under the direction of West Gate Funeral Home.

Visitation will be at 4:30 to 5:30 p.m. today and at 10 a.m. until service time Friday, both at the funeral home.

Mr. Bland was born Aug. 25, 1953, in Adams County, the son of Edward Miller and Annie E. Bland.

He enjoyed fishing and watching game shows.

Mr. Bland was preceded in death by his mother; one sister, Geraldine Bland; and one brother, Richard Bland.

Survivors include two brothers, Eugene Bland and Ernest Bland; three sisters, Irma Pryor, Willie Dell Kennedy and Yvonne Evans; and his companion, Elizabeth Norman.
