NATCHEZ — Services for Artee Bill King, 83, who died Thursday, May 28, 2015, peacefully in his sleep at his residence, will be at 11 a.m. Saturday at Rose Hill Baptist Church with the Rev. K.E. Stanton officiating.
Burial will follow at the St. Mark Baptist Church No. 2, Kingston Road, under the direction of Bateaste Memorial Funeral Home.
Visitation will be at 5 to 7 p.m. today at the funeral home and at 10 a.m. until service time Saturday at the church.
Mr. King was born Feb. 4, 1932, in Natchez, the son of Charlie Elias and Addie Hayes King.
He was reared in a loving, close knit home siblings, cousins, aunts and uncles.
He was baptized at St. Mark Baptist Church in 1944, and served there as a trustee and a faithful choir member for a number of years.
He was a graduate of Brumfield High School and a graduate of Southern University in Baton Rouge where he received a degree in architectural design. Throughout his professional career, he designed and built a number of commercial buildings, homes and churches in Mississippi and Louisiana. After retiring from the construction business, he became an independent product consultant for Morinda International (Tahitian Noni,) creating a large, successful team.
Mr. King was a master fisherman, hunter and loved the outdoors. His smile, storytelling skills, generosity and king spirit captivated and humored many.
He was preceded in death by his parents; two brothers, Charles and Edward King; two sisters, Ruby Luster-Smith and Ethel Gordon; and one granddaughter, Brianna Wilkerson.
Survivors include his devoted wife of 57 years, Yvonne Domino King; three daughters, Tanya Reindorf and husband, Carlsburg, Carla Rascoe and husband, Kevin, and Arva Bryant; one sister, Mary Gladys Stanton; three brothers, Joseph King, Robert King and wife, Julia, and Kyle Cubie; one grandson, Daniel Reindorf; special cousins, Prince King III and wife, Bertha, and Maudra Anderson; four sisters-in-law, Joyce Vaughn and husband, J.W., Gloria Moch, Elsie Christophe and Mable King; two brothers-in-law, Moise Domino and Wheaton Smith; two godchildren, Albertha Thompson and Patrick Fulton; and a number of loving and caring nieces, nephews, cousins and friends.
