NATCHEZ — The Natchez-Adams School District will host a job fair Monday to fill available positions for the 2015-2016 school year.

The job fair will take place from 8 a.m. to 3 p.m. Monday at Robert Lewis Magnet School and will offer school-level to administrative and administrative support positions, District Public Relations Coordinator Steven Richardson said.

As of today, 58 positions are available heading into the first job fair hosted by the district.

“This is unique for us because we are wanting to come back to the community,” Richardson said.

Administrative support positions include titles such as a computer lab assistant and a bookkeeper, while school-level positions include teaching.

Although the district has traveled to many job fairs, they are hoping the local job fair will attract more than just their usual target audience.

“Not only are we looking to give new college graduates an opportunity, but those who are in the area and have experience in other school districts and may want to return to school,” Richardson said.

Richardson said the job fair would also serve residents who reside outside of Mississippi who may desire a change of scenery.

Applicants may get a preview of the district’s available positions at natchezschools.org, but those interested can apply at the job fair.

The career link is located at the bottom of the page.

Applicants are required to dress and prepare for interviews on-site with a resume and reference list. Applicants are also required to bring a copy of their driver’s license with any information to support their application.

“With the change in the world and a lot of technology being involved in classrooms, we are looking for very energetic, open minded individuals who can continue to take this district to a higher level.”
