NATCHEZ — Services for Charles E. “Charlie” Powell, 85, of Natchez, who died Thursday, June 4, 2015, at Promise Rehab Hospital, will be at 11 a.m. Friday at Trinity Episcopal Church with the Rev. C.J. Meaders officiating.

Burial will follow at the Natchez City Cemetery under the direction of Laird Funeral Home.

Visitation will be at 10 a.m. until service time Friday at Kuehnle Hall.

Mr. Powell was born June 15, 1930, Foxworth, the son of William James Powell and Hettie Breeden Powell.

He was a member of Trinity Episcopal Church.

Mr. Powell was preceded in death by his parents; one sister, Velma; and one brother, John.

Survivors include his wife, Rose Marie Bailey Powell; two sons, Charles Eugene P. Powell Jr. and wife, Mitzi, of Wakefield, La., and Kenneth Michael Powell of Church Hill; one daughter, Donna Lynne Powell of Natchez; three grandchildren, Ali Sharp and husband, Adam, of Denham Springs, La., Emma Powell of Houston and Neil Powell of Wakefield; one niece; and nephew.

In lieu of flowers, memorials may be sent to Trinity Episcopal Church of Natchez or to a charity of choice.
