NATCHEZ — Services for Emmett Jefferson, 70, of Natchez, who died Monday, June 8, 2015, at his residence, will be at 11 a.m. today at Zion Flower Baptist Church with the Rev. Robert Strickland officiating.

Burial will follow at the Second Union Baptist Church Cemetery under the direction of Marshall Funeral Home.

Visitation will be at 10 a.m. until service time today at the church.

Mr. Jefferson was born Jan. 13, 1945, in Natchez, the son of Dave Jefferson and Janie Bell Jackson Jefferson.

He was preceded in death by his parents; two brothers, Leroy Jefferson and Roger Jefferson; and mother-in-law, Ruby Lee Haywood.

Survivors include his wife, Betty Lee Haywood Jefferson; three sons, Wardell Haywood Jefferson, Emmett Lamont Jefferson and wife, Sharon, and Lee P. Jefferson; four grandchildren, Crystal Martin, Emmetra Jefferson, Kayla Jefferson and Emmeria Jefferson; and a number of nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends.
