BROOKHAVEN — Services for Julian Moore Noland, 90, of Bogue Chitto, who died Tuesday, June 16, 2015, at his residence, will be at 11 a.m. today at Brookhaven Funeral Home Chapel with the Rev. Lance Moak officiating.
Burial will follow at the Bogue Chitto Cemetery under the direction of Brookhaven Funeral Home.
Visitation will be at 10 a.m. until service time today at the funeral home.
Mr. Noland was born Feb. 9, 1925, in Magnolia, the son of Alvin West and Sue McRaney Noland.
He served his country in the U.S. Navy during World War II. He was a retired mechanic from Diamond International.
Mr. Noland was Methodist.
He enjoyed hunting and fishing with his sons and friends. He was a loving father, grandfather and great-grandfather.
Mr. Noland was preceded in death by his parents; one brother, Sonny Noland; one sister, Laverne Noland Jordan; and one granddaughter, Mindy Neal.
Survivors include two sons, Julian Earl Noland of Bogue Chitto and Alvin Ray Noland and wife, Mary, of New Albany; two daughters, Sylvia Johnston Partridge of Bogue Chitto and Deborah Noland Herrera and husband, Angelo, of Summit; three grandchildren; four great-grandchildren; the mother of his children, Eloise Noland Bozeman; and a number of nieces, nephews and friends.
Pallbearers will be Ken Hart, Roy Sather Jr., Gary Coleman, Ronnie Dawson, Samuel White and McKenzie Morgan.
